Distance Learning Update, March 30 2020:
Dear Students, Parents and families,
In line with recent contact from the San Jose District Office, students will be provided with 2 pieces of science instruction per week. This will not include any work set during the assigned Spring Recess (April 13 - April 17).
All work will continue to be linked through this document, with answers being posted a few days after. Please feel free to reach out with any questions ([email protected])
Stay healthy,
Mrs H
Distance Learning Update, March 24 2020:
Dear Students, Parents and families,
What a strange world we have woken up in!
I know that this is not a "normal" situation, but we need to make the most of it. Yes, you are normally sitting in D102, listening to me talk about something science-related in my weird accent, but we need to create our new "normal", temporarily. This is going to involve you all using those skills of independent learning that I've tried to instil in you the past 8 months! I am going to be putting together a document of the different resources and instructions on what you need to do. I will make it as clear as I can, with colours and highlights (you know my style - red is important text!). Please keep checking in, either here or Google Classroom for updates. Depending on how long this goes on for, I will try to get into a routine of 2 updates a week, at a minimum.
The document linked here will be our "go to", with all instructions and updates. I will be linking all documents there, but they will also be saved in this open access drive folder. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me ([email protected]) or use the contact page here. I get notifications instantly when a message is sent.
Please stay tuned for more updates, and reach out whenever, even if it's just to say hi. I miss each and every one of you; going from talking to 150 young adults every day, to just 1 (my husband, and he's not that talkative!), is a weird adjustment. I know that you are all going through the same change, and I think we can agree that it sucks!
What I wouldn't give now to have to tell you all to be quiet! :'(
Stay strong, stay inside, and most importantly, stay healthy.
Mrs H
